The Lutsk Repair Plant "Motor" is the state plant of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

It is considered the leader among Ukrainian plants specializing in repairing the turbojet engines for modern combat aircrafts used in many countries.

The history of "Motor" dates back to 1938, August 18, when permanent aircraft repair workshops were founded in Orel. Its workers contributed much in gaining a victory in the Great Patriotic War by repairing 985 aircrafts and 2490 engines under extremely hard conditions. After the war, "Motor" continued its work and has gained a great wealth of experience in repair of aircraft engines.

The uniqueness of the plant is its complex repair of aircraft engines. Such process implies the simultaneous repair of an engine and all its aggregates.
The personnel of "Motor" treat everything that refers to its history with care and respect. The plant has its own museum which exhibits all types of aircraft repaired here from the very beginning of its history.

Overhaul of AL-21F-3 aircraft engines and all component aggregates. The main are: NR-53D, RSF-53B, NP-96M, DTsN-72, FN-53, PGL-30ML, SK-224-1, RT-12-3, TS-21B, 4700T, aggregate 924. These engines are installed on aircraft Su-17, Su-20, Su-22, and Su-24 .
Overhaul of AL-31F aircraft engines, remote aggregates boxes and all component parts.

The main are: NR-31V, RSF-31V/B, RT-31V, RTF-31A, FN-31 A, NP-96M, DTsN-82, KRD-99, SK-224-6 series 1, TDK, 6139T, aggregate 4030. These engines are installed on Su-27, Su-30 aircraft.
Overhaul of RD-33 2S aircraft engines and all component aggregates. The main are: NR-59A, RSF-59A, NP-96M, DTsN-78, FN-59A, KSO-59A, RT-59E, RTF-59B, TDK, 4700-T, 4033, FG-11SN-T, BPR-88, SK - 224-6 series 2. These engines are installed on aircrafts MIG-29 .
Overhaul of gas-turbine engines GTDE-117-1 (installed on Su-27, Su-30), GTDE-117 (installed on MIG-29 ).
Warranty and after-warranty maintenance of repaired aircraft equipment, technical help and support.
Theoretical and practical training of specialists in the field of overhaul of aircraft engines and all component aggregates on a client's plant as well as on the basis of the Lutsk repair plant "Motor".
The high quality of aircraft equipment repair that meets the requirements of the International Quality System, its reliability in after-repair operation and strict fulfillment of the contract obligations provides high competitive ability of the plant, which results in successful many years' cooperation with domestic and foreign partners.
In 2000, the plant was awarded with the Certificate of Conformity to certify that its quality management system meets the requirements of ISO 9002:1994, and in 2001 with the Certificate of Military Accreditation. In 2004, the quality management system of "Motor" was certified to meet the requirements of International Standards NF EN ISO 9001:2000 and AS/EN/JISQ 9110:2001.

Today, the repair plant "Motor" successfully cooperates with partners from many countries, in particular, states of CIS, Eastern Europe, Asia, South-Eastern Asia and Africa.
The up-to-date methods of repair and control along with a variety of after-repair tests allow to make the repaired aircraft equipment more qualitative and reliable and prolong its lifetime.
The plant has developed and phased in the most advanced technology of repair and renovation of the aircraft components and assemblies:
- detonation, plasma and flame coating with wear-resistant and sealing coats;
- vacuum-condensation coating of turbine blades;
- all types of electrodeposited coatings;
- spark doping of components with wolfram carbide;
- welding in the room with controlled air condition;
- laser soldering, electric arc soldering of the reinforcing
ledges of turbine blades with hollow cathode in vacuum.
The following modern control methods are used in repair: X-raying, dye penetrant examination, luminescence and whirling currents control, ultrasonic check, magnaflux examination, fine structure control with electron microscope, diagnosis of technical state by spectral and X-ray spectral analysis of wear debris in luboil.
The "Motor" plant has powerful facilities for testing of aircraft engines. The process of registration and processing of engine's operating parameters is completely automatized to provide objective evaluation of repair quality.

The central laboratory of the plant is equipped with the cutting-edge facilities and provides the metrological support of overhaul. It enables diagnostics of technical state of aircraft engine assemblies and components.
The metrology and measuring laboratories of "Motor" were awarded with the Accreditation Certificates by the Central Administration of Metrology and Standardization of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.
Great emphasis is placed on constant upgrade of the plant's equipment, mastering and introduction of the latest technologies of aircraft repair.
The plant also manufactures spare parts necessary for aircraft repair and the stock-list of which is steadily growing.
Besides, the plant provides repair of car crankshafts for "Moskvich", "Lada", "Volga" and overhaul of fuel pumps UTN-5, LSTN, ND-21, ND-22, KAMAZ, MAZ (6), MAZ (8), MAZ (12) using the spare parts manufactured by the plant or supplied by a customer. After repair, fuel pumps are tested and adjusted on a special test bench.
The plant provides such services as rotor balancing for various machinery by means of high-precision equipment, mechanical and lathe works, welding, plating of different consumer goods.
The plant manufactures aluminium and PVC window and doorframes.

The resting facilities of the plant are also constantly improved.
The plant's hotel, dining room and first-aid room were reconstructed. The plant has comfortable rest facilities built on a picturesque lakeside.
